Scoop House

Area: 350 sqm

Location: Nuvali, Sta. Rosa, Laguna

Status: Contract Documents Phase

Team: Ar. Jaime Recto, Ar. Deeno Singson

The architecture of the Scoop House takes a step back for its residents to fully experience its environment. Urban air quality as the main reason of the family’s relocation, the design focuses on harnessing natural ventilation and the prevailing winds. The south-west scoop is positioned strategically on its façade to direct wind to enter the house’s interiors.

The house also aims to blur the lines between interior and exterior. It invites its environment to play a part in the family’s life. Soft-scape facing wraparound windows allow for a flowing and ‘maaliwalas’ space.
